In today's blog I’m going to write about the ugly side of my experience studying Theatrical Design.
To begin with, the worst experience I have had has been the practical online classes, since I used to talk about the ideas for the designs with my classmates during the classes, but through zoom we only talk with the teachers, and it is necessary to receive comments of the companions to have another not so academic perspective. Also it was fun to be with my friends.
The same thing led me to have the worst experience with a teacher, she made corrections to my designs, but I could not move forward because she only criticized me instead of teaching me how to improve and I could not talk about it in class with my classmates so that they would help me to understand what the teacher wanted, since then each design work that I show her ends up being torn to pieces with her comments.
The only good thing that I rescue from the online classes is that I have been able to sleep a little more, since I do not take hours of commuting to get to the university, before, with normal classes I slept 5 to 6 hours hopefully, now is around 7 hours, because even if I go to bed late, I no longer have to get up so early.
One thing that remains equal is how stressful the end of the semester is, my different teachers ask for a final common project that is worth 3 courses and sometimes more, so the risk of failing the semester grows and so does my concern.
too much pressure at the end of the semester! :o
